Frequently Asked Questions
Our FAQ
Does my child need any prior soccer experience to join Soccer Sprouts?
No prior soccer experience is required. Soccer Sprouts is specifically designed for beginners ages 2–6, including toddlers who have never played an organized sport before. Our youth soccer programs focus on basic movement, coordination, confidence-building, and fun, making it the perfect first soccer experience for young children.
What if my child is shy, nervous, or has trouble focusing?
That’s completely normal—especially at this age. Our coaches are trained in youth development and are experienced in working with young children of all personalities and comfort levels. Soccer Sprouts classes are pressure-free, supportive, and encouraging, allowing kids to participate at their own pace. Many shy toddlers gain confidence within just a few sessions of our toddler soccer classes. Also, parent play a very big role in participation, especially for our Littles and for first timers.
Are parents required to participate during classes?
Parent participation depends on your child’s age and comfort level. For our Littles program (ages 2–3), parent involvement is very encouraged to help children feel secure and engaged. For Bigs (ages 4–6), children participate more independently while parents are welcome to observe and cheer from the sidelines.
What happens if we miss a class due to illness or scheduling conflicts?
We understand that life with young kids can be unpredictable. While we do not guarantee make-up classes, we strive to be flexible whenever possible. Missing an occasional class will not negatively impact your child’s experience, as our youth soccer programs focus on repetition, routine, and skill reinforcement throughout the season.
Is Soccer Sprouts safe for young children?
Yes—safety is a top priority. All Soccer Sprouts classes are age-appropriate, supervised by trained coaches, and designed with child development in mind. We use soft equipment, small group sizes, and clear safety guidelines. Parents are informed about liability policies and photography acknowledgements, ensuring a transparent and family-friendly environment.
